Financial/Regulatory Accounting
Financial accounting/regulatory unit is responsible for the Firm’s external and regulatory reporting and ensures that the firm is always prepared for assessment by any regulator at relevant/agreed times.
Activities include financial & regulatory reporting, accounting policy execution, trial balance accuracy, implementation of controls, transaction processing, fixed asset accounting, consolidations, periodic returns, reconciliations & schedules, etc.
Performance Management/Business Reporting
This sub unit is responsible for financial reporting by each business unit which is a key managerial control function providing timely and accurate information for decision making purposes.
Activities include budgeting & planning, financial/cost analysis, responsibility reporting, business performance monitoring/tracking, cost management and variance reporting
Treasury Management
This sub unit is responsible for cash flow reporting and liquidity management which are paramount and extremely important for the Firm’s going concern status.
Responsibilities include treasury & investment management, payment/receipt processing, cash management, credit control, payroll processing, banking relationships, bank reconciliations, liquidity reporting, securities (portfolio) valuation and tax payments
