Afrinvest Launches Equity Fund

 

Segun Oso (Co-Head, Investment Banking)

Segun has almost a decades experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, capital markets transactions and business strategy development spanning various segments of the Nigerian economy. Prior to Afrinvest, Segun worked with FCMB, Accenture, Lead Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has since worked on several landmark transactions in the Nigerian market. He is currently responsible for the financial advisory / mergers and acquisition unit at Afrinvest. His work includes providing advice to various large corporates on potential mergers, acquisitions, divestures, business restructurings and other similar transactions across the West Africa region. He is a qualified Medical Doctor and studied at the University of Ibadan.

Degbola Abudu (Co-Head, Investment Banking)

Degbola will join Afrinvest in 2008 as Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division. Degbola comes to Afrinvest with over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, project finance and debt/equity capital markets activities.  His industry specializations include the healthcare, chemical, basic materials (commodities) and general industrial sectors.  Degbola began his corporate finance career in 1996 at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked closely with financial sponsors and general industrials clients. After interning at Goldman Sachs, Degbola went on to work in the Healthcare Mergers & Acquisitions group at Lehman Brothers before joining the Basic Materials Group at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on chemical, mining, building products and agricultural clients. He received a B.A. in Economics from Manchester University in 1996 and an M.B.A. from Tuck Business School at Dartmouth in 2005.  He is a qualified chartered accountant and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2000.
